Audrey Bell-Kearney is what one may call a serial
entrepreneur. She runs 2 businesses, The
Sister Inc. Network and Black
Diamond Media Group and still find the time to write and publish books. On top
of that she manages to find time to spend with her family and friends.
Audrey wasn't always an entrepreneur. Her story
goes like this. She went from working at a job that she hated to
delivering newspapers at 3am in the morning so that she could follow
her passion of being her own boss to Welfare to successful
entrepreneur.
When you ask Audrey what does it take to be
successful, she will quickly tell you a lot of faith. When she
started her first company Big Beautiful Dolls, she quit her job to run
that business full-time, but she quickly found herself out of money
and just flat broke. So she had to find a way to bring in some money,
so she got a paper route delivering the Star-Ledger Newspaper. Most
of her friends and family thought that she was crazy to give up a job
with a great company just to get up 7 days a week at 3am in the
morning to deliver newspapers. She didn't want to take a full time
job, because she knew that she had been bitten by the
entrepreneurial bug and their was no going back and it would
not be fair to an employer to hire her and she would quit in a few
months. So she did what she had to do. Thanks to her wonderful
husband who was then her boyfriend, she was able to pull that off.
But then something happened. Her daughter got sick and had to go to
the hospital. Audrey had no health insurance and decided to face the
humiliation and apply for Welfare, so that she could
have medical coverage for she and her daughter.
During all of this, Audrey had a goal and a lot of
faith. Her company Milestone Publishing was picking up clients and
some money started to come in. Her dolls were doing well and more
money came in. Soon she was able to get off Welfare and applied for
NJKIDCARE. Now she is married and is covered under her husband's
insurance.
Today, because of her faith, perseverance and the
choices that she has made, Audrey is the author of three books,
The ABC's Of Self-Publishing, From The Home-Front: The
Simple Guide To Starting and Running A Home-based
Business, Success Is A Matter Of Choice & A Mustard Seed Of Faith and her most recent soon to be released
How To Become A 6 Figure Sister She
publishes a E-magazine titled The Success Journal.
Audrey made a choice to be successful. She stepped
out on faith with a game plan. Now she coaches other women who want
to start their own business. She also teaches a class on
self-publishing and do book & home business coaching.
Her message to others is to find something
that you are passionate about. Believe in yourself and set some
goals. You must have at least the faith of a mustard seed and
everything that you want will fall right in place with a little bit of
hard work.
